Is the difference between zero and one larger than the difference between one and two?

But surely if you have two empty hands and all of a sudden you have an apple, that's a bigger difference than if you have one apple and all of a sudden you have two. Surely the difference between zero and one is bigger than the difference between one million five hundred forty three thousand two hundred seven and one million five hundred forty three thousand two hundred eight.

than it just depends on how you define "bigger difference". in my answer of no, i defined bigger difference in a strictly mathematical way, which is usually the most accurate and consistent way to define things when it comes to quantity.

you have defined "bigger difference" in a much more subjective way.
